RACE INFORMATION:
About the Race
Run and walk with us on July 11th 2009 in the fight against prostate cancer, a disease that will affect 1 out of every 6 men in the United States. Unite 2 Fight : Race Against Prostate Cancer consists of a 5K run, a 5K walk, and a one-mile family walk in downtown Indianapolis. Organized by Little Red Door Cancer Agency and the Indiana Cancer Research Foundation, this event will support each group's efforts to reach the underserved men in our community, and to find a cure for the disease.
In 2003, nearly 500 people came out for the inaugural event. Since then, the race has brought together over 1,300 participants each year, and jumped to a record 2,013 participants in 2007. The 2008 race with pre-registration was well on the way to record participation. Inclement weather on race day may have stopped the run/walk but the race against prRostate cancer continues. This year the race will be bigger and better than ever, and spread even more awareness about prostate cancer and how to fight it. [History of Unite 2 Fight]
