Unite 2 Fight: Race Against Prostate Cancer

Any personal information collected by Unite 2 Fight: Race Against Prostate Cancer (U2F), either through its registration process, or through interaction with the website, will not be sold or distributed to third parties. Use of such information is limited by the rules detailed below.

Information collected during registration

In order to be registered for U2F, a participant must provide personal information. This information will be kept by U2F to be used for registration, statistics, and correspondence purposes. The information will not be sold or distributed to third parties. Contact (correspondence) information will be made available to the event beneficiaries based upon each participant's preferences (see below).

During registration, a participant is given options regarding if and how he/she will be contacted by U2F or its beneficiaries, Little Red Door Cancer Agency and Indiana Cancer Research Foundation. The participant can approve of or deny these avenues of communication:

  • Yes, I would like to recieve relevant event-specific news from Unite 2 Fight. This may be through e-mail, postal mail, or some other means of communication.
  • I would like to stay up-to-date on cancer-related news. Please send me "The Open Door," a monthly e-mail from the Little Red Door Cancer Agency.

Information collected through the "Personal Race Page" system.

Each participant who registers on-line receives his/her own personal web page and an account on the Unite 2 Fight webiste. Through his/her account, the participant can use his/her E-Mail Tools system to send e-mails.

Unite 2 Fight respects each participant's privacy, and will not capture the e-mail addresses or names entered into each participant's address book, or those addresses and names used in sending e-mails through the E-mail Tools system. These addresses and names, though saved in each participant's address book (for his/her use) will not be used by U2F or its affiliates. The information contained in a participant's address book and the other addresses that a participant uses are personal to that participant.

Information collected from donors and sponsors

When a user donates money to U2F, whether by sponsoring a participant, sponsoring a team, or giving a general donation to the cause, the user's information is required for the transaction. The information is not sold or distributed to third parties. U2F protects the privacy of its donors. The information will be entered into U2F's donor registry so that a donor acknowledgment may be sent to the donor (for tax exemption purposes), and an e-mail or letter may be sent to the donor prior to next year's U2F.
